adequate stay

the staff were cute. they dealt with our needs promptly and efficiently. the rooms were very very comfy and tidy. (it was great to have a super clean room.)
check-in and check-out were slow because the receptionist spent far too long on the phone before acknowledging us. those calls really should be handled elsewhere so guests aren't left waiting. in the restaurant, the front-of-house service felt unfriendly and flat. our waitress had no warmth or personality.

excellent architectureclean room
the building has excellent architecture both inside and out. the room was very clean and warm and included plenty of pillows. the room also provided many towels and tea and coffee making items. i attended with a coach party and the breakfast and evening meal were well organized so that we could sit together.

mixed feelings about recent stay
slow room serviceburnt dessert
the room service was slow. we ordered fries and ice cream at 4pm but didn't get our food until 5:30pm. it was frustrating because it was almost dinner time. the fine dining experience wasn't great either. my lamb was overdone and the dessert was burnt. it was nice but not wonderful for the price.

The breakfasts were EXCELLENT and offered a wide range of options. Staff went the extra mile. The bedroom was very well equipped. The outdoor seating area was relaxing.

The breakfast was good. The pool area was also nice.
The bar staff was unfriendly. Service was slow even though we were the only ones there. Vegetable soup tasted bad and my sandwich had one thin slice of ham with too much mustard, so it was inedible.
